It only happens once

ACCCF Musical Drama

Maybe you think this is kind of an annual thing of ACCCF like O-camp, LISG, Iron Chef (which became history already), and so forth. Maybe you think it’s just a skit that you have seen a lot in the camps.

NO. For so many years I have been in the fellowship, if you wanna call it a serious drama that people practiced and prepared for, it only happened ONCE and it did not need that much efforts like the equipments, clothing, singing, etc. For musical performance, since we have many people in music major in the fellowship, you may think that there was something similar before. NO. Anything relative to music performance has been a project that people thought and planed about. But it never really happens. Anything closed to it was Linda’s Viola solo 2 years ago with her Thanksgiving sharing.

A musical drama

As stated, it never happened before. And it probably may not happen in the near future. 'Cause lots of music major ACCCFers are graduating. The other reason is: it will be too hard to do it again, especially when people look back and see all the efforts needed: conducting, singing, scripts and plots design, acting, lighting, sound effects, etc. Especially people have been trying to find their free time to get together to make it happened. For many of the actors and coworkers, this is probably the once-in-the-life time thing since none of these people majors in relative areas.

OK. It’s Friday night at 6PM. And it also comes with dinner.

    • Go to the professors’ or boss’ Thanksgiving dinner?
Come on, most of the Thanksgiving dinner are held on Thursday afternoon or evening.
    • Shopping?
Come on, the biggest sale on Black Friday is 5 AM on Nov 23. You can
have a sound and nice sleep before the 6PM dinner. And believe me, this
year there is almost no deal can be called hot if you go to any forum discussing this Black Friday.
    • Study/projects/homework?
Come on, there are four days in Thanksgiving holidays. You will have enough time for your projects or so.

It finally happens this time. God puts so many talented people together to fulfill this one event. If you miss it, you miss it FOREVER. Personally I am so glad that I can be part of it. If you are not, come and witness it!

Unless you will be out of town. Come! You will not regret it. Come! Just come.

Check it out on the web. Go to http://www.acccf.us/ or directly go to the official web (https://webspace.utexas.edu/ip227/musical/) and tell me that this is nothing special.

Wedding Vocabulary

Centerpiece:
Bouquet:
Toss Bouquet:

Wedding Favors:

Maid of Honor:
Groomsman:
Bridesmaid:
Makeup Artist:

Hook 'em Horns

The Eyes of Texas Are upon You

The eyes of Texas are upon you,
All the live long day.
The eyes of Texas are upon you,
You cannot get away.
Do not think you can escape them,
At night, or early in the morn'.
The eyes of Texas are upon you,
'Till Gabriel blows his horn!

-- Lyrics of "The Eyes of Texas Are upon You"

TEXAS FIGHT

(chorus)

Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
and its good-by to a & m.

Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
and we'll put over one more win.

Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
For its Texas that we love best!
Give 'em Hell, Give 'em Hell,
Go, Horns, Go!
And its good-by to all the rest.

Yea, Orange, Yea, White,
Yea Longhorns, Fight-Fight-Fight!

Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
Yea Texas Fight!

Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
Yea Texas Fight.
(repeat chorus)
